Research Computing Access Portal (ReCAP)

ReCAP (REsearch Computing Access Portal) is the newly introduced self-service portal to help you manage your access to Imperial's research computing services. Instrutions on how you can access ReCAP can be found here.

Note

This new portal is entirely about accessing RCS resources, unlike the RCS, and thus doesn't involve any job-level management for computing workloads. Such management is now done solely in the virtual environments of the HPC systems themselves.

Through ReCAP, the RCS department now deploys its resources via an allocation system. While the storage and compute resource allocations are provided by us, these allocations are set up and managed independently from us by individual research groups. This is an important distinction to understand if you are the manager of a research group, so please read the relevant documentation on them as well as allocation management.
