Managing RCS Credits

Viewing your RCS Credits Balance and Transactions

RCS Credits are held against your research group in ReCAP. To check your current balance, log in to ReCAP and navigate to your Research Group page. Your available RCS Credits balance is displayed at the top of the page. To view a detailed history of credit activity for your research group, select "View transactions".

Buying RCS Credits

RCS Credits can be purchased by completing the RCS Credits Purchase Request Form. Before submitting the form, please ensure that you have a Research Group set up in ReCAP and that you are authorised to use the specified Cost Centre and Activity Code.

Once your purchase has been successfully processed, the RCS Credits will be allocated to the Research Group specified in your submitted form.

RDF-Active

RCS Credits are automatically deducted from your available balance whenever a storage allocation is created, renewed, or has its quota increased. For further details, please refer to the RDF-Active documentation.

CPU or GPU Reservations on HPC Facilities

Please review our Charging Structure page and contact us to discuss your requirements. Any RCS Credits required for a compute reservation will be deducted from your balance before the reservation begins.
